Cruise Ducks
We're not your normal cruise duck cruisers.
We love to travel—and in recent years, we've especially enjoyed cruising. Four of our last five cruises have taken us to the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska. One of our favorite adventures was a full-family cruise with our adult children, their spouses, and our granddaughter (before our grandson was born).
Over the past 15 or so years, we’ve explored 49 U.S. states and much of Canada. Experiencing the beauty and artistry of God’s creation has become our passion. Whether standing on the Columbia Icefields in Alberta—at the very moment our grandson was being born—or feeling the power of Nugget Falls at the base of Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau, Alaska, we’ve been continually reminded of God’s incredible handiwork. We see it as our mission to soak in as much of His splendor as we can.
On our cruises, we learned about a fun tradition: hiding little plastic yellow ducks around the ship for others to find. While we’ve never actually found one ourselves, we loved the idea—and decided to join in with a twist of our own.
Instead of plastic ducks, we created custom wooden “duck coins,” complete with a personal message on the back. If you’ve found one of those coins and ended up here, welcome! We’d love to know who you are and where you’re from—drop us a note and say hello!
